Peer Advisory Group

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Structure

1. What is a Peer Advisory Group?
A small, curated group of professionals who meet monthly to discuss real challenges, share insights, and support each other’s growth through structured, confidential conversation.
2. How is this different from a networking group or mastermind?
This is not about leads or casual conversation. It is a facilitated space for serious, reflective, and practical dialogue, focused on improving your impact as a Trusted Advisor.
3. How big are the groups?
Each group is limited to 16–20 members, ensuring diversity of insight while keeping the group small enough for trust and meaningful participation.
4. How often does the group meet?
Groups meet once per month for two hours, virtually.

Who It's For

5. Who should join a Peer Advisory Group?
This is designed for Solution Engineers, Technical Account Managers, CSMs, SMEs, and others who lead through expertise. If you are customer-facing, consultative, and constantly solving complex problems, this is likely for you.
6. Do I need to be at a certain level or have a specific title?
Not necessarily. What matters is fit, mindset, and experience. You should be in a role where influence and judgment matter, and you are motivated to grow through peer insight and self-reflection. We want members who are humble enough to accept input, smart enough to help others, and hungry to grow themselves and their colleagues.
7. Is this a good fit if I already have a mentor or internal team?
Yes. This group is not meant to replace your existing support—it adds an outside perspective, helping you break out of organizational silos and see broader patterns.

Logistics

8. What happens during a session?
Each session includes: A structured check-in. One or two real-world challenge discussions. Guided reflection and practical takeaways. Optional “spotlight” sessions for members to go deep on a specific issue.
9. What if I cannot make a session?
We understand that life happens. Regular attendance is expected, but we allow for occasional absences. There are no recordings to maintain confidentiality.
10. How confidential are the discussions?
Strict confidentiality is a core part of the experience. What is shared in the group stays in the group.
11. Will I have to present or speak publicly?
You are never forced to share—but participation is what creates value.

Cost & Commitment

12. What is the cost to join?
After a free trial session, membership is $195/month. This covers professional facilitation, group management, and access to additional resources.
13. Can my company sponsor this?
Yes. Many companies support membership as part of their professional development or training budgets. See Getting Support From Management for assistance.
14. What is the time commitment beyond meetings?
Aside from the monthly 2-hour session, there are no required assignments or outside prep. You get out what you put in.
15. Is there a long-term commitment?
Membership is month-to-month, but we require a 90-day cancellation notice. That means you can cancel at any time, but you are responsible for three additional months after your notice is given. This ensures stability within the group and gives us time to transition members responsibly.

Getting Started

16. How do I know if I am a good fit?
Start by attending a Preview Session or scheduling a 1:1 conversation. We are happy to help you determine if this is the right opportunity for you.
17. Can I refer someone else?
Yes. If you know another professional who might benefit, we would love to talk with them. Trusted Advisors know other Trusted Advisors.
